Helios, the eldest Valerian child, embodied the ideal of the "perfect son." A soldier in House Garveil, he exuded a quiet strength and steadfast devotion to his family that made him the pride of his parents. Helios's ability to excel in every aspect of his life while maintaining a humble and approachable demeanor made him a natural leader. His personal law to "strive for excellence and compassion" was not just words but a way of life that inspired those around him.

In stark contrast to her elder brother's steady presence was Selene, the only daughter of the Valerian family. A free spirit whose laughter and energy filled their home with joy, Selene had chosen a path that led her away from House Garveil and into the ranks of House Exinade. As an explorer, she embodied her house's motto, "To the Stars," and her personal law to "embrace growth with kindness" reflected her open and warm nature. 

Together, these four formed the core of the Valerian family, each bringing their own strengths and perspectives to create a dynamic that was both challenging and deeply loving. Yet, there was one more member of the Valerian household whose place within this tapestry of expectations and achievements was far less certain.

Itus, the youngest son, stood apart from his siblings in more ways than one. Significantly younger than Helios and Selene, Itus had grown up in the shadow of their accomplishments, always striving to meet his family's lofty standards but often falling short.
